Hi! My name is Adina Gutierrez. I am a licensed therapist who offers a warm, collaborative space, specializing in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, anxiety, and phobias, LGBTQ+ identities, and other areas through a trauma informed lens. I have been passionate about connecting with others through my work for over a decade, with much of my experience centered within the LGBTQ+ community. These experiences have shaped my commitment to holding each person’s story with care and respect as the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work.
I value therapy as a place where you can exhale and focus fully on yourself. It is both a beautiful and challenging journey, and I strive to create an environment that is safe, nonjudgmental, vibrant, warm, and even fun as we explore together. I developed a strong focus on EX/RP for OCD with the understanding of how isolating and excruciating it can feel. I am a therapist because I want to be one more supportive presence in the field who offers the tools and language to help you reconnect with the life you want to live.
Services
Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy through an engaged, collaborative style grounded in a relational lens. I value building a relationship with you that feels rooted in trust, authenticity, and open, safe communication. Your feedback matters, and we actively shape the space together so it feels supportive, responsive, and aligned with your needs. Above all, I want to hold your story with care as we work side by side toward what you truly want for your life.

Exposure and Response Prevention(EX/RP)
I also offer Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP/EXRP), an evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety. ERP is a highly effective approach that helps you gradually face feared thoughts, sensations, and situations while reducing compulsive behaviors and avoidance. ERP helps you move towards what is called “safety learning”, which shows you that anxiety can rise and fall on its own without compulsions, that you can tolerate uncertainty more than OCD tells you, and that you can trust yourself more than you think.
-
Intake and assessment of OCD symptoms
Psychoeducation about what OCD and EX/RP is and how it works
Introduction of tools for increasing awareness of and decreasing rumination
Co-creating an exposure hierarchy together
Virtual exposure sessions and processing
I ensure you that we will move at a pace that is thoughtful, collaborative, and always with your autonomy in mind. You do not need to feel fearless to begin ERP, for it is my goal to show you can move forward even while afraid.
